President - Norman Sybert

   
 Norman has 25+ years in the Computer Industry.  Graduated from UMASS Lowell with a BS in History and Secondary Education.  Received an MS in Accounting from Bentley College, Waltham MA.  Norman is also a Certified Teacher in the State of New Hampshire.Norman has held many titles throughout the years.  Programmer, Programmer/Analyst, Manager of IS, Manager of Business Applications, and currently Senior Business Analyst.  The industries and companies are as varied as the titles.  Digital Business Systems, Software developer, Federal Distillers, manufacturer of Liquor products, Henschel, defense contractor, Texas Instruments, Brooks Automation, Supplier to the Hi-Tech Manufacture industry, PAREXEL multi-national pharmaceutical drug-testing company, and Staples Inc. Norman is currently working as a contract employee for Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth NH on as Asset Management project. Served as North East User Group President of ASKUS from 1993-1998 and was a National Board member of ASKUS as well.  Was Conference Chairperson for the CA WORLD MANMAN conference in 1996.   Norman brings to the Board of Directors a background of user group involvement. Norman lives in Lowell MA.        

Vice President (VP) Marketing and Communication- Gautam Bhatia 

           

Gautam is a Lead Business Systems Analyst for a leading financial company based in the Greater Boston Area. He has been the Vice President of Marketing and Communication for the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Greater Boston Chapter  since May 2007. 

Gautam has worked as a Business Systems Analyst, Consultant to Fortune 500 companies in Financial, Mortgage, Healthcare, Insurance, and E-commerce industries. Gautam has earned his Bachelors and Masters in Business Management from India and has graduated with honors with a MBA in Management Information Systems from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Gautam currently resides in Waltham, MA.

Vice President (VP) Education- Dina Turetsky

     

Dina is a Senior Project Coordinator for a Pension Administration and Actuarial Company in the Greater Boston Area. She has recently been elected as the Vice President of Education for the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Greater Boston Chapter and is looking forward to serving the term to help others achieve professional development to be an excellent BA.


(As a Consultant), Dina has worked for few years for leading IT Consulting Company, Accenture, on several cross country system projects for Fortune 500 companies in Finance, Mortgage and Insurance industries. She has also spent several years working for a well-known Boston based financial company, Fidelity Investments, where she has led initiatives in HR and Pension departments in developing Systems Development Life Cycle processes and standards, as well as customizing in-house project methodology. She has earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Mount Holyoke College. Dina currently resides in Brighton, MA.

                 

Vice President (VP) Membership-Geoff Lopatka

  

For more than ten years Geoff has been matching client requirements with the right solutions.  He possesses detailed knowledge and experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder analysis and communications, planning and control of solutions required in delivering high-impact results to his customers. 

In Business Development and Account Management roles Geoff works with clients ranging from High-Tech startups to Fortune 500 mainstays such as IBM, State Street Bank, Massachusetts Mutual, and TYCO. Currently working for the Boston University Corporate Education Center, he supports organizations across the Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Business Services industries, and helps them to meet and exceed their business objectives through human capital and process improvements.  Areas of focus have included corporate education, consulting and staffing. Geoffrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Cornell University and is a member in good standing with the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA™).   

Secretary- Tom Coll

         Tom has over 20 years IT experience consulting with clients in the financial services, healthcare, utility, retail, and manufacturing industries.  For the past 10 years, Tom has specialized in requirements facilitation, use case modeling, and business systems analysis, with an emphasis on mentoring and coaching teams in best practices.  Prior to starting his own consulting practice in 2002, Tom was a Software Architect for Fidelity Investments, where he developed and promoted a Requirements Engineering business practice focused on improving the company’s capabilities in analysis and design.  As part of this business practice, he consulted to Fidelity business groups as a requirements and use case expert. Other positions Tom has held include: Managing Partner at Waterfield Technology Group; Senior Consultant at CSC Consulting; Project Manager at Baxter International; Customer Engineer with IBM Corporation. Education-        B.S.,        University of Illinois Chicago and   MBA,       University of MichiganRoss School of Business.

                                                                              

Treasurer- Brandt Ricker

      

Brandt started his Business Analyst career at Fidelity Investments in 1995 where he worked on cross-functional systems reengineering projects.  At Staples, Brandt helped develop their first SDLC and PMO office.  He then taught and continuously improved these project management methods for the entire IS and IT organization.   Then as an AVP at State Street Bank, Brandt performed current and future state system and process analysis for the due diligence phase of client acquisition.  Currently, as a BA contractor for Massachusetts Executive Office of Transportation, Brandt supports the Registry of Motor Vehicles systems development initiatives.  Brandt has also been a small business owner and HR Director for a Hotel and Ski Area. 

 Brand holds a B.S. from American International College and an MBA from Northeastern University. He firmly believes consistently delivering maximum value with IS projects requires the effective use of Business Analyst techniques within the framework of a SDLC fully integrated with the entire organization.
